    Great work Philippe!

I didn’t know Nam June Paik died, thank you for informing us of this great artist’s death. I seem to remember he had connections with Joseph Beuys (spelling!?) in the ’70’s when Beuys was in NYC……Maybe some students can look up this connection.

    Good Luck

    Scott.

This is going to be a great site. It will be even better when our classes drawings are on here. Thanks!

  5. Thanks Tom! For your comment and I think you are the first student to comment!
I will take pictures of the drawings next class…

    Hi,

This is a great way to stay connected during the week, and to get to know everyone. See you on Wed.!

  7. Hi Kristen,
    Thanks for commenting!
Yes this is away to get to know each other. The class can continue online in some ways…

It is great to see all the talent from previous classes. It seems like we have a fun semester ahead of us.

I can barely read the comments, the typing is so tiny. I have been unable, as yet, to find out how to enlarge the print, because, there is no toolbar with printing view enlarger on this web page I am at.

Other than the difficulty if not impossiblity of reading comments…I can say that I’m not into blogs, because I’m stubborn and when I blog I AM RIGHT…so I get po’d when a nut case comes along to differ with me.

BUt, having said “THAT” I must say, I do enjoy online quizzes and homework, because, it is a break from reading books and writing notes!

    HOORAY!

I am excited to be part of the trial process for the Art 1 web site and hope that it is a course option for students in the future.

I find the website interesting. It is good to see the pieces from class online. I’m not sure if I’d get as much from the class if most of it was online. I’m more of a hands-on person and too much online work would take away from the experience. The website is helpful for info sharing and class prep. Thanks

I would like to see more pictures to comment on, especially unknown pictures of famous artists… and perhaps a question as to what we thought the picture meant or tried to do before looking up information on the picture…and then after having looked up the information.
